Kaleidescope Dreams

Fabulous!

Anne C. has finished her Cindy Valentine project. Fortunately for me she exhibited it at the Washington D.C. Chapter meeting so I had a chance to take a few photos. This is a gift for her niece for her graduation. Lucky!
Anne put the rest of us who took the class to shame by not only finishing the piece, but adding extra like the inside of the lid personalization. And the covered tape measure!

Hand Embroidery Video

For those of us who despair that so few younger than us have an appreciation of hand embroidery - here's a link to a video that's quite impressive.

July Class

Our July class will be this two linen sampler by Pam Darney of Guildhouse Samplers. Deadline to register for this class is June 15th. Coupons are in the newsletter.

A reminder - the July class is not at our regular location. We will be meeting on July 28th at the Vienna Presbyterian Church in Vienna.

May Meeting

Our IFF table was occupied by quality rather than quantity this month!

Not many finishes, but there were mighty.

First up, a Guildhouse Sampler finish by Phyllis.

And a ring bearer pillow by Phyllis - can you tell there is a wedding in the family?

Maggie brought a beautiful crewel piece with a history. Maybe next fall this design will be for sale by the EGA.

I don't know about anyone else, but I went home after class and ordered a Daylight Double Flexi Clamp like the one Maggie is using here to hold her hoop.

Maggie demonstrating how to use paper to get a perfect trellis stitch on Flutterbee.

April IFFs

Looks like the nice weather has everyone outside gardening or just outside enjoying the sun as our usual bountiful table of IFFs wasn't overflowing. Next month, we might need two tables???

Phyllis showing off the goodies in the July opportunity basket. The theme is cupcakes! We have stitched goodies like the apron she's modeling. And goodies to stitch. And all kinds of cupcake stuff! Including two cupcake mysteries signed by the author!

Please support our guild by purchasing tickets from Phyllis at the May, June, and July meetings. Winner need not be present to win!
